Principal: Mrs. Dorothy Whittaker

Mrs. Dorothy Whittaker has over thirty years
experience working with students, parents and teachers. During her
educational career, she served as an elementary school teacher, a
technology specialist, a curriculum facilitator and an assistant
principal. At the District Level, she is a member of the Quality
Committee and training cadre. Prior to assuming the principalship at
Ray V. Pottorf Elementary, Mrs. Whittaker was principal of Orange River
Elementary. Under her leadership the school raised its state grade from
a “D” to an “A”.
A Florida native, Mrs. Whittaker, lives in Ft Myers
with her husband. She has a son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons who
reside in Lehigh.
Assistant Principal: Mrs. Cheryl Dooley

Mrs. Cheryl Dooley has 14 years experience as an
educator and reading coach in Lee County. In 2001 she was honored to
receive the Golden Apple Teacher Award. Prior to assuming the Assistant
Principal position at Ray Pottorf Elementary, she was Reading Coach at
Orange River Elementary School. At both the district and state levels,
Mrs. Dooley has been a trainer in numerous Reading, Assessments, and
Quality staff development opportunities.
A Kentucky native, Mrs. Dooley lives in Bonita
Springs with her husband. They have two daughters, the oldest resides in
California, and the youngest attends UCF in Orlando.
